Since 2014, Dr. Lin has practiced at North Seattle Pediatric Dentistry, conveniently located adjacent to Northgate Mall and the Kraken Community Iceplex. The office features state-of-the-art technology, including digital scanners and 3D printers, reflecting Dr. Lin’s role as a pioneer in digital dentistry for pediatric patients. He believes that adopting new technology is essential not only for advancing care but also for relieving patient anxiety and reducing discomfort, helping children feel at ease throughout their visits. His practice is built on the belief that children need a place where they feel safe, encouraged, and even have fun while receiving dental care. Dr. Lin emphasizes prevention, education, and early intervention, giving parents confidence that their child’s smile will grow strong and confident for life. He also continues to advance the field through research, most recently publishing an article on the use of 3D-printed models in surgical training in the Journal of Dental Education. A Lifelong Commitment to Pediatric Dentistry

Born and raised in Taiwan, Dr. Lin earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from National Yang-Ming University in 1995. After working for four years in a private practice, he decided to pursue his passion as a pediatric dentist. He was awarded the highly prestigious National Scholarship for  Advanced Dental Education from the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. In 2002, after three years post-doctoral training, he earned his Certification in Pediatric Dentistry and a Master of Science from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He spent another year continuing molecular genetic research at Harvard Medical School. He is currently a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington, where he devotes two days a week to teaching and providing dental care under general anesthesia, while also maintaining a dedicated private practice three days a week. He began as a full-time faculty member in 2005 and later served as Pre-doctoral Program Director from 2008 to 2014, overseeing the education and training of dental students.

In addition to his dental education, Dr. Lin studied acupuncture—a training that shaped his holistic approach to care. “Even though I don’t practice acupuncture now, it was valuable for me. It taught me that I’m treating the whole patient, not just their teeth. The mouth is a mirror of overall health, and the teeth are connected to the rest of the body. Good oral health is essential for good overall health,” Dr. Lin shares.

As a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Lin combines clinical excellence with genuine compassion. He brings warmth, humor, and dedication to every visit—helping children grow not just healthier smiles, but confidence and trust along the way.
